THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME is a contemporary art project conceived in Rome in 2014 from an initiative of a group of artists (Giuseppe Pietroniro, Stanislao Di Giugno, Marco Raparelli, Alessandro Cicoria, Daniele Puppi) and two art historians (Giuliana Benassi and Giulia Lopalco) whose objective is to create a dialogue between art and the city by installing exhibitions within spaces which are not usually dedicated to culture, and which acquire a new value through the artist’s work.
For its fourth edition, THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME invites 30 artists to an unusual and little known location of the capital: a dock on the river Tiber in the vicinity of Ponte Marconi. The area, ordinarily inaccessible to the public, will be home to a series of performances and works of art displayed within an old fishing boat, moored along the dock for this very occasion.
